Back home

We are home and getting back into the groove of things as we try not to freeze (it's in the 40's during the day). I have a ton of pictures to go through from this weekend, but in the meantime, here's a few taken on my phone from our trip home Sunday night.

We flew Southwest, which is apparently dangerous right now, but we made it home ok! I didn't know anything about it on Sunday night. On the first leg of the trip, my worst fears came true. Will screamed bloody murder for a good 20 minutes. I looked at Matt and told him I was sure we were going to be asked to get off the plane (it had not yet left the gate). He nodded back and said he agreed. It was that bad. Will was tired, and nothing would calm him down. Nothing. Finally, after what seemed like FOREVER, we had this…

We had a layover in DC, where Will found a janitor's broom and ran through the airport sweeping…

As we boarded the second leg from DC to Chicago, we noticed Louis Farrakhan and his entourage were on our flight. We would have taken a picture with our phones but we were too intimidated.

On the second leg, I was determined to keep Will happy, no matter what. I couldn't deal with the screaming again. Midway through the flight he decided he'd rather not have his shirt on.

So the shirt came off!

I've never been so glad to be home. I've decided traveling with a 20 month old is the worst - they aren't a baby anymore that just sleeps, and they aren't quite old enough to have their own seat. They are just huge lap children that would rather be anywhere than on a lap.

But I sure do love him:)
