He had to have 3 vaccines, AND he had to have blood drawn to test for lead, which is procedural for 1 year olds. Poor kid! I felt so bad for him...
He also got to have a little fun at the park yesterday!

First steps
Yesterday was a big day for our little man. First, he had his 1 year doctor's appointment. He weighed 23 pounds, which is the 51st percentile for his age, and his height was the 69th percentile.
But after he was home for a few minutes, he surprised us by taking his first steps! He would only take one step, but we got him to do it 2 or 3 times. After that he'd had enough, and he hasn't done it since then. But I did capture the last time on video...

i love that first picture of 'Big Head Fred!' i have shown it to all of my friends! He looks so precious but the angle makes his head look huge! (but i mean that in the cutest way possible!) i am glad everything checked out okay with him!!
