I heard back from the doctor this morning with the biopsy results, and I do have Celiac disease. It stinks, but I'm trying to be optimistic about it. Matt told me that if I can't eat gluten, he won't either (he said he wants to empathize with me). What an amazing husband I have! I am meeting with a dietician in a couple of weeks, and until then I will try and learn as much as I can.
This is a super busy time around our house...on top of the move, Matt's classes ended Friday and he has finals this week. And we have lots of social things going on as the end of Kellogg draws near and many of our friends move away. Time has flown by...it seems like just yesterday we were moving up here!

Sorry to hear that you have Celiac disease, but at least you know what's going on and can move forward from here :-) And your husband and my husband sound a lot a like - both of them are sweet guys!
well, you and matt not eating gluten will help me to not eat it, too! and my guess is that our families will go pretty gluten-free for the summer as a show of solidarity. i am looking forward to relaxing with you guys down at the beach in a few weeks!

Miller, I am so sorry to hear that you have celiac. I know that can really be stressful to have to work around that. How wonderful that Matt is joining you so that at least you can cook and eat together. I am sure you feel very supported! I was anxious to hear the results...been checking on your blog each day, and praying.
I have been checking your blog everyday and I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but with your chef of a husband I am sure you won't miss out on anything! :) It was so great seeing you a couple weeks ago!! Have fun this summer...I will give you a call as it gets closer and if you get a chance send me your address so I can mail you a key

it sounds like you have a very positive attitude about it all, which is great! i hope the transition to a new diet isn't too hard. there are tons of gluten-free options out there these days!

Hey Miller, sorry to hear about the diagnosis but it sounds like you have a great perspective about it. I've been checking the blog and thinking about you...sorry I didn't call. Take care!
Hey Miller! Our pastor's wife at Atlanta Westside has celiac and Chrohn's I think. She doesn't eat gluten. And another girl at church started this website. www.glutenfreedomatlanta.com
Hope that's helpful! I seems like it's becoming more and more common. Praying for you guys!
Amber - that is a great website! Thanks for sharing:)
Miller, I just found your blog and I love it! Can't believe how big Will has gotten - he's a cutie! Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but I know how much you and Mart love cooking so this should be a fun adventure for you. I see that Amber sent you our friend's blog - Gluten Freedom Atlanta. It's great! I've made a couple of her recipes.
Oopps - not Mart, Matt! :)
It's so good to hear from you Jenna and thanks for the encouragement! I hope you and your girls are having a fun summer!!
