The Metra is a double decker and Will wanted to sit upstairs. We got on the first car though, so he and Matt walked around a little bit and looked out the front windows.
Can you tell how excited he was? |
We took the train into the downtown terminal. It was drizzling rain and I waddle more than I walk these days, so we took Will outside to see some buildings and a bridge over the water, but that was about it. He was more interested in checking out the terminal! We got lunch there and then took the train back to Evanston.
He's been talking about going on the train with mommy and daddy ever since we got back! He calls Matt "Mr. Conductor Daddy" and me "Mr. Conductor Mommy" and when he wakes up I hear him in his room yelling "All aboard!" I think he had a pretty good time:)

He is so adorable. We miss Cousin Will down here. I feel your pain Miller, it is definitely getting harder to get around and I recently discovered I can no longer bend to tie my tennis shoes but thankfully its been 80 degrees here so flip flops are now all I wear. We cannot wait to see pictures of cousin Baby Girl Dart soon! Lots of love!
