First week alone and Memorial Day weekend!

Right after my mom and sister left Matt was suddenly staffed on a new project, so I was alone last week with 2 kids. Oh my goodness! The first day wasn't pretty - in fact I don't know who cried more - me or Liza! But things have definitely gotten easier as I've figured out our "new" routine, and as I've continued to recover and feel better.

We had a nice relaxed Memorial Day. For lunch Matt grilled steaks and made a steak salad with arugula, strawberries, goat cheese, and homemade vinaigrette and for dessert he grilled peaches and topped them goat cheese and honey! Yum!!

For dinner we took a picnic of boiled shrimp, marinated asparagus, and fruit to a park by the lake. It was so nice out and Will had a great time too!
