Last week we decided it would be nice to have a video monitor. I never saw the point when he was in a crib - even in a two story home I could hear him when he woke up, and it's not like he could go anywhere! But now that he could get down if he tried, I wanted to be able to keep an eye on him. I saw this blog post about a video monitor that you can use with your computer or iphone and thought it sounded like a great idea.
Who sleeps like this?! He is on top of his quilt, backwards, with his feet up against the wall. |
And by using a free app for the iphone, Matt and I can both see him on our phones too! Pretty neat!
We keep books by the bed so when he wakes up he usually grabs some of them right away!
I'm so proud of my big boy - he is growing up!

I have thought about this too. We had a summer infant video when Thompson was born and I agree the reason to get one is for the toddler stage. Anyway, it broke so we got a motorola video monitor (I don't love it). My question is what are you going to do when you have a babysitter? I mean can they see it on their iphone?? Thanks, Ashley
He's made yet another transition look easy! Sweet boy! BTW...Where are the madras quilt and draperies?

Ashley - I'll probably either open up the website (it's bookmarked on my computer) so they could see it, or if we had a babysitter that came really regularly, I would probably just have them download the free app on their iphone (assuming they have one!). I'm not too concerned about being able to see him when he is going to sleep - it is more when he is waking up that I want to check on him, so for the occasional babysitter at night I probably wouldn't even worry about it.
Mom - They are there, you just can't tell on the monitor! In the last picture you can kind of tell that the curtains are plaid...
Thanks, Miller!
