Family time

Matt's brother Beau is getting married this weekend, and Will and I went to see him and his fiance Kate and sister Jessica this week. Will wouldn't leave my lap at first, but he soon warmed up to his aunts and uncle...

He helped Uncle Beau sort candles for the wedding. He was a big help:)

He was sporting his new Joes Jeans that Beau and Kate got him!

His Aunt Casey and Cousin Otto came into town later this week. Once again he wasn't sure what to think at first but he finally warmed up to them and decided to play…

Sweet cousins!

Beachtime

It's just me and the Budro in St. Simons this week…Matt's in London for work. Before he left this weekend he took Will to the beach. They played on the playground (Will LOVES sand!) and then enjoyed a dip in the pool...

Bahama mama!

Matt and I had SUCH a great time on our much-needed getaway last week. It was kid free, internet and email free, and phone free…such a rare occurrence in our lives! It was Matt's first cruise, and it'd been 10 years since I'd gone on one in college. We went on Royal Caribbean for four nights and stopped in Nassau and Royal Caribbean's island, Coco Cay.

Our first stop was Coco Cay…white beaches, clear water, and lots of palm trees - paradise!

The next day we stopped at Nassau
I'd done a little research ahead of time and got us day passes at the British Colonial Hilton. They have beautiful property and we got to use their pool and beach chairs and it included a TERRIFIC lunch. This was the highlight of our trip.
Their beach is right in the harbor where the cruise ships come in.

Sunset over Nassau
Each night we had a different animal waiting on us in our room…

On the last day we were at sea all day. We found a deck on the back of the ship that was hidden enough that we were the only ones out there! It was heaven!

I'm trying to talk Matt into doing a trip like this every year…I'm a southern girl living in freezing Chicago - I NEED sunshine:)

St. Simons

Matt and I got back from our cruise on Friday and hopefully I'll post a few pictures soon. Will spent the week with his grandparents and had a great time! I don't think he even noticed we were gone! He's really enjoying being outside (something we still can't do in Chicago!). Here's a few pictures of him last week…

Boys like to throw things in a lake!

I'll race you daddy!

Both my Aunt Karen and my Aunt Faye came to see Will while we were gone! And Aunt Karen brought toys!
