Showing off our roots

Our friends from Evanston, Dave and Courtney and Noah, came to visit us in St. Simons! They'd never been to the South, so we were really excited to introduce them to all things southern!

On Wednesday we took them to Sea Island. The little boys had fun splashing in the fountains, swimming in the pool, and digging in the sand.

On Thursday we went to the pool on St. Simons. It's fairly new and Matt and I had never been, but it is GREAT for kids. There is a little mini water-park in the middle of a shallow pool with slides for kids!

Will even went down by himself!

There was also a bigger pool with zero-depth entry, which Will really likes.

We took them to some of our favorite restaurants on St. Simons - Crabdaddy's, Barbara Jeans, Coastal Kitchen, and Gnat's Landing. And we cooked a low country boil one night - they'd never heard of a low country boil and I think they liked it! We also introduced them to boiled peanuts and pork pops from Sweet Mama's!

We had a really good time with them and hope they got a good impression of the South!
